Filling the Gaps: Coaching for Project Success | Neovii Biotech GmbH

When Neovii approached us, we were puzzled at first. Their technical expertise seemed to render our services redundant. But it was the perspective of an outsider that proved crucial to the success of the project.

What

New location for Fill & Finish Neovii
Neovii Biotech’s management recognised the initial difficulties and proactively sought to improve the team’s capabilities by bringing in H-provis onboard as an expert coach.

Goal

Establish an efficient CAPEX project management system
Solutions were jointly developed and implemented, continuously adapting the project structure to the evolving phases and requirements.

Approach

Creating a cohesive and productive team environment began with recognising and respecting the emotions of the individual members. In a comprehensive workshop involving key project participants, line managers, the sponsor and management, the primary project objective was defined. In addition, the most important project risks were identified and a detailed project organisation structure was developed:

  • On-site team workshop
  • SWOT analysis of the project organisation
  • Customised role models and responsibility matrix
  • Definition of team goals and expectations
  • Tandem coaching of the designated project manager
Harald analyzed very quickly to current situation and developed a lean project management concept to efficiently execute the project new filling line. Thanks to the established team structure, role models and responsibility matrix Neovii was set into a position, the team could realize this project within time, quality and budget.

Challenge

Neovii worked intensively with internal experts, stakeholders and line managers to develop the concept for the new facility. The initial lack of clarity around project roles and competences meant that the multitude of ideas of project roles were not clearly defined and expectations were therefore not clearly communicated.

Success

When latent frustration in a project gives way to realisation, this paves the way for joint solution development. This process culminated in a generally supported project goal that was anchored by a flexible and responsive project organisation.
